Establishing of “Forum on Economic Integration with EU” by Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

 

The negotiations on the “Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement” with Georgiawas launched by EU on December 5, 2011.

On the basis of the decision made by the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Forum on Economic Integration with EU was established. The mail objective of the Forum is to deliver to the Georgian entrepreneurs an information on Free Trade Agreement negotiation process, on one side, and consideration ofthe interests of the Georgian businesses in the course of the process, on other side.  

The Free Trade Agreement with EU will enhance integration and access of the goods produced by the Georgian entrepreneurs to the new EU market. “Forum on Economic Integration with EU” will take an active part in this process: the discussions with businessmen will be held at which the interests of our companies will be specified and conveyed to the parties involved in the negotiations” – stated the President of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Kakha Baindurashvili.
