Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) Structure

GCCI is a Legal Entity of Public Law, governed by special Law on Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Law defines the Chamber system in Georgia and grants the GCCI with the highest authority of taking part in Legislative Activities, such as preparation the draft laws, proposing changes, etc.

General Assemble consists up to 150 businessmen from all over the country (2 -3 from each municipality), each of them out from 150 at the same time represents no less than 10 businessmen from the corresponding municipality.  General Assemble elects the Presidents, approves the GCCI status and changes into the related legislation.

GCCI Board decides over the GCCI policy, approves its liabilities.

GCCI President is elected by the General Assembly for 4 years term.

Vice Presidents and GCCI Representatives in foreign countries are appointed by the President on pro bono bases.

General Director is in charge of GCCI services and appointed by the President.

Chief Investment Officer is in charge of B2B and International Relations and appointed by the President.

There are 7 Regional Chambers in Georgia. Regional Chambers are created by the GCCI Board, the Heads and Deputy Heads of the Regional Chambers are appointed by the President of GCCI.

The GCCI has several subsidiary companies, including exhibition center, publishing house, expertise company, barcodes provision company, etc. The establishment of the private companies by the GCCI is decided by the GCCI Board.
